The main emphasis is on graphs and charts, EMI calculation. He also wanted to show impact of Interest rate changes, Principal amount changes, Loan duration on total EMI calculation and Repayment chart.

2.2 Our Approach
Client wanted a platform independent desktop application so Java was obvious choice.

Also client wanted to very minimal system requirements to run the application. Hence Java Applet embedded in Html page is used to create application. Applet embedded in Html does not require java installed on local machine.

A simple GUI is created in applet which is self explanatory. Slider controls are used to change Principal Amount, Loan Period and Interest Rates. The mortgage calculator will do all the calculation to display current data and EMI. All the calculations are done using Standard mortgage calculation formulae.

2.3 Technology Used

Server / Environment OS Windows -2000
Language Java 2.0
Client Side Scripting HTML, XML, Cascading StyleSheets, Javascript
Editor TextPad
3. System Description

3.1 System Feature 1
Object Oriented Programming with class hierarchy is used to show different charts and graphs. The whole application is divided into different module for easier code management.

Charts module takes care drawing all the charts and graphs in Mortgage application.

Different graphs shown are as follows
1) Amortization Graph: This graph shows interest payment and principal amount payment over a period of time.

Every crossword should be managed from a single file which cosists of all details of the crossword in a predefined format . This will an online application where users can check there wordpower and solve different puzzles online.

2.2 Our Approach
Creating crossword application requires lot of GUI development and online processing of data. A Java applet is created to run crossword application. Stream Reader classes in java are used to read and create crosswords dynamically. A predefined format is created for storing crossword details in text file on server. To check if the user is entering correct words or not the alphabet color will be changed to red for wrong words.

3.1 System Feature 1
Object Oriented Programming with class hierarchy is used to create crossword application. The whole application is divided into different module for easier code management

Data module takes care reading crossword data from server. StreamReader classes of java api are used to read data from server. All the crossword details like number of horizontal columns, number of vertical columns, across words hints, down words hints, crosswor results are stored in different variables.

GUI module is created to draw crossword. This module will draw crossword using all the crossword details from data module. 2. Overall Description

2.1 Client Requirements
Client wanted to create an online image processing tool. The idea is to change already available images using different tools. There will be list of images available for users to edit. also user should be able to add images from different url.

2.2 Our Approach
Image processing is very memory intensive and also rewuired continuous updation on the server. The editated images data is stored in different files on the server. This required continuous server roud trips. To minimise memory requirrments and server round trips Java applet is used to develope complete applcaition.

The user can save the image for future. he cana also make the image publicly available to other users.
